Apple Pie

1 refrigerated pie crust
3 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp grated lemon zest
1/4 tsp gound nutmeg
3 Apples (about 1 1/4 lb)
1 Tbsp cold butter cut into very small pieces

1. Heat oven to 450 degrees
2. Unroll pie crust
3. Mix sugar, lemon zest, and nutmeg in a small cup. Sprinkle 1 tbsp over crust. Peel, quarter and core apples; cut into 1/2-inch slices
4. Arrange apples on crust leavinga 1 1/2-inch border. Sprinkle ramiling sugar mixture then scatter butter over the top. Fold edges of pastry over the apples, crimping the dough
5. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 375 degrees and bake 25 minutes. Cool and serve!
